emptysuitPersonal Branding.  It’s some kind of buzzword these days, isn’t it?  Well, the question about it is this: what are you here to give?  What is your brand?  People want to start the reputation management process all the time, but they don’t really want to consider the most essential: what are you here for, why are you doing this, and what are you here to give.

Without content, personal branding is fluff.  It is beatable, it’s not sticky, it’s not a winning pattern.  Without real content, personal branding is dumb.   You have to be someone (ahem, yourself) or else people will get the idea that you’re a phony.

Look, you can use our service to get everywhere on the web in a day.  But, if you have nothing to offer, and nothing to NOT offer, then you’re gonna be in some trouble.  Nobody will connect because there’s no substance there.  There’s nothing really that you’re giving people.  So, amp it up.  Make it more real.  Be yourself.

How to decide who you want to be:

  1. What do you TRULY value?  Me?  I want to be fast.  At my core, I want to deliver projects FAST.
  2. What else? Sure, I want to be cheap.  I want to be Henry Ford, not Dan Kennedy.  I want to make sure that everyone can afford my services.  So it’s wal-mart.  Doesn’t mean that there won’t be value, but my blogs can be any theme you like, so long as its thesis.
  3. We’re going for a top three here…so what else? I want to transfer what I know to other people.  This site, this service is all about that.  I transfer what I know, it’s valuable enough to do a blog.
  4. What Don’t You Care About? Being all things to all people.  I’m not gonna oversell you, my services may not be for you.

Now–when you decide what you DO, and more importantly what you DON’T do, it becomes easier to go on the internet and propagate information about yourself.  I’m the guy that delivers thesis blogs fast.  I’m Genuine Chis, the best friend freelancers will ever have that TELLS THE TRUTH about the market and about how things are.  You can expect value, you can expect speed.  If you want it to be hypercustom?  You’re out of luck.

You know what you’re getting.   You know what you’re not.  You can trust me because I don’t decide what I’m going to be after I size you up.  Like Popeye, I yam what I yam.
